Anime Review - MAR (Marchen Awakens Romance)


Yup - shounen side-boob


As somewhat of an anime snob, the shounen genre has never really appealed to me; shows like Naruto and Bleach just turn me off because of their drawn out stories and endless filler episodes. However, there have now been more than a few instances of a series aimed at young males winning me over, and now amongst Hunter X Hunter, Gintama and One Piece, I can count myself as a fan of the seriously underrated MÄR.

Anime Review - Shikabane Hime: Aka (Corpse Princess)


Yes Makina, horror!
Something strange has happened to me as of late: anime is starting to lose its shine a little. Whilst a 13 episode series used to take less than a week to finish, Shikabane Hime: Aka stretched out just over six-weeks from the first OP to the final ED. Far from being a terrible series, it simply failed to grip me in a moment of personal animated weakness. But hey, you can’t go wrong with pretty girls and a healthy dose of horror, making Shikabane Hime: Kuro look extremely tempting.

Chii & Kira Anime Watching Club - February 2011 - G-on Riders




I get the feeling Yuki doesn't wear a bra...


Payback is a bitch, and now no one knows that better than Chii. Waking up to a screen full of abusive msn messages, it seems my choice of G-on Riders as the next title to share had the desired effect after Wild 7 drove me up the wall. But hey, how bad could a seemingly innocuous ecchi title really be? I couldn’t wait to find out for myself.

Anime Recommendation - Chu-Bra


I admire the use of cleavage to detract from
horrendous headgear
I often feel like I belong in a very small niche of anime fans: firstly being female means I'm already in a minority. Add in my unhealthy love of ecchi, and I probably fall into 2% of the otaku community. This is probably because these shows are primarily aimed at males with raging hormones (you know who you are). But every so often, a show comes along that has a more feminine spin on a perverted genre and in my opinion Chu-Bra is one of those.
